Barrons Y2K article,

Many companies will switch to client/server based systems, instead of using their legacy mainframe based systems that have defective software (with the Y2K problem). This is very good news for Compaq which has very high market share in the PC server market. I believe the net effect of the Y2K issue will be very positive on Compaq (and HP), but not Dell--since Dell does not have the brand equity that Compaq and HP have in the PC server market segment.
