Oh Dan - this is truly precious ! Hammer multiprocessor systems are (relatively) inexpensive to produce, will run just about any code, and will perform well on just about any code - real code, with data that varies, so the system is good for something other than repeating the same optimized run on the same frozen data over and over again.

You speak so all knowingly about Hammer multiprocessor costs, ability to run any code, and exemplary performance -

and then you issue the missive that such systems haven't even been demoed yet - but "may" soon be - yet your ability to see all and know all well in advance - allows you to know all - even before these systems are even demonstrated.

If AMD is able to publicly demo a working multiprocessor (4-way or greater) system as early as next month, Itanic is finished, its window of opportunity will have closed.

You have such vision, Dan - such vision - truly a precious gift.
Monica
