Your deductive reasoning is flawed. That chart only shows the price action and nothing more. You may have a suspicion that this is due to concern about hedging, but there is nothing in that chart or any chart that can present proof for the reason for the price movement. I have been following this thread and your discussions of Barrick and hedging. I have consistenlty seen is the same thing that you did here. You come up with an unsubstantiated theory and present it as fact. There is a huge difference in between a theory and a proven fact. You may be right and you may be wrong. However, I have seen little "proof" of anything in this and many other of your posts - especially the ones that allege impropriety.
