Re: the depth of the decline...neglect not the 'possibility' that various factions profited and perhaps continue to profit from the decline, due to their inherent advantage of knowing when they were going to dump..ie..they shorted, via puts and directly..IMHO.
Go back and look at the disappearance of perhaps a trillion or more, in a matter of hours, March, '00, when Tony and Billie came out with that bogus..we aren't going to allow patent rights..(in so many words)..speech. I feel it was a disappearance, in that even the regular shorts weren't prepared for that travesty. How quaint when Billie came out after the fact and said..Tony and I didn't MEAN to bash the market...hmm..interesting word..bash..sounded more like board chatter, than a prez. Was it payback time when the first speech came out?
PS, it was a large goose, sufficient to feed the few for a long time.
