The emphasis was totally on the physical, and there was no effort to conceal the fact that these killers-in-training were getting no instruction in constitutional law, ethics, or the subtleties of foreign policy. Perfectly trained thugs for the corporate army. General Smedley Butler described them perfectly 70 years ago. They are soldiers who haven't a clue why they're involved, except that it's a paycheck and you gotta take care of your buddy. -Ray
