Hats 101. A cheap cowboy hat going for $29.95 at a truck stop will be wool and have a wire in the edge of the brim.

Now a 2X beaver will come shaped or not shaped. Not shaped and you steam them and shape them.

I buy 5X beaver pre shaped. No wires and hold up well. Even a 2X beaver will have no wires but will cost $100.

The higher the X the finer the fibers and more lustrious it will be.
