Grub... the bottom sentence on this thread head explains the somewhat arcane reference to the NASD Average being 4 full standard deviations above it's 200 DMA

btw Market Analyst John Roque was the one who seemed to create the widespread recognition that the NASD was 4 standard deviations above it's 200 Day Moving Average by mentioning it on cnbc back in early 2000.

He also wrote an article that appeared on TheStreet.Com.

That was a neat datapoint from the world of statistics.
