Interesting isn't the word I'd use to describe servitude as the price of citizenship. Appalling anti-American bull crap is more like it. If paying taxes isn't service, what the hell is? I spend 1/3 to 1/2 the year in service to the state today. That's about 5 times too much. Tying voting rights/citizenship to universal service might be interesting.
