I've faced practically every disagreement I've had head on with liberals on this thread. So your characterization is missplaced. The word hate is the right word to use when the evidence for it exists so clearly. Funny, liberals are always trying to limit free speech. Even when challenged, your agreement with Bush's positions had to include nasty hate-filled incorrect statements.
For instance... res- Also, reduction of nuclear arms, but not warehousing them in their ready-to-use state, of course.
The insinuation you've given here is that Bush *only* wants them housed in ready-to-use states. Where is your evidence to support this insinuation? Bush hasn't agreed to such a black-and-white position. He's simply come to a first agreement with Russia, hopefully, in a long serious of agreements to dramatically lower nuclear weapons pointed at one another. It's an amazing step forward in peace, especially, when you consider how short a time Bush has been in office. Yet, you just used the agreement to point a barb at Bush and insinuate a future principle he has not articulated.
res- Also, getting rid of terrorism. But, not supporting those like OBL who engage in it, nor their supporters, like Saudi Arabia.
This is obviously a nasty hate-filled dig at Bush. Not only is it laced with an insinuation Bush supports terrorists, it's also laced with the thought he supported what happened on 9/11. Pretty shallow...
res- And, getting rid of "Evil". But not inviting evil Saudi terrorist supporters over to the ranch for a BBQ
Do I really need to take apart this statement and the rest of the hate-filled supposedly agreeing position you've posted MSI?
The only statement it appears you made positive was the first one. res- agree with the idea of public service
Being a liberal I can understand that one. I personally disagree with his position on this. Especially, as it relates to the military. Forced military service would be a bad idea on many levels.
First, with an all volunteer service the leadership is constantly in a struggle to find talent and recruit the next generation. This creates an urgency to continuously look for ways to improve military members quality of life. Without this incentive, I believe, the military would be an entirely different organization.
Second, a volunteer service helps ensure the people joining it have bought into the discipline and tough aspects of the job which are required. "no one forced you to sign" is an often used phrase by Sargeants to get people off their duffs and do their job. The service doesn't need pacifists, or other slackers to deal with. If they went back to forced inscription, undoubtedly they would have to spend an inordinate amount of time battling the malcontents who never wanted to serve.
Third, some young people are truly brilliant and need to go directly into higher education. Our nations leadership in the internet was largely a result of young kids who challenged conventional thinking and started an entirely new industry.
That's enough for today...Gotta run... |
