Two months difference in time? How convenient. But he at least acknowledged the connection. What exactly was the connection he acknowledged? That Bill had a Mother named Mary, or that Mary had asked a high ranking exec at IBM to give young Bill a shout in consideration for a position?

Sour grapes? There was nothing in the book that denigrated Bill Gates or Microsoft.

Yes, young Mr. Gates deserves credit for the genesis of his corporate empire. And, Mary Gates deserves credit for bringing the attention of IBM to young Mr. Gates.
