There is no reason to advertise products that won't be useable for six months. It will just reduce design wins and sales for current products.

ergo, these motherboards from Abit, Asus, Biostar, FIC, Gigabyte, MSI, Soyo will be bought and filled with Hammer processors in less than six months.

Did you see them announcing motherboards for Banias? That's supposed to be ready in early '03, right?

Do you think AMD bribed all these companies to highlight their Hammer designs, using their vast hoard of cash?

Or is it more likely that they are falling all over eachother because they realize that there is a large market for a soon-to-be-available, revolutionary new product?
