I have beta tested dbc Signal (now stockedge). In my opinion it is good program but there are deficiencies. One is charting. Intraday is only when you set it and have computer on. Once you are disconnected there is no data comming and after you connect again there is a gap. Only one TA indicator (moving average). In short charting is very simple. Data stream seems to be good. I had few interruptions but generaly very good. DDE has its limitations depending on computer power but it is not reliable to capture tick by tick data. Good enough however to write portfolio tracking in Excel because again portfolio tracking is very simple. It trader has much better protfolio My summary (it is just my opinion) Category - winner Data stream - stockedge charting - ITrader (stands out here) portfolio - Itrader alarms - Stockedge Options - Stockedge (IT does not have options yet but they are promised in August) News - Stockedge (stands out here) Scanning - Itrader Which one is better will depend on personal preference. My needs are better matched with ITtrader but they must improve data stream otherwise it is just a nice demo.
