Amazing.

Re the semiconductor picture. Sad to hear about Portland Or. They have had a tough time keeping semi biz alive there for some time now. Here in Scotland it is the same story of course. It's all shutting down practically.

I agree that my data presented (ICKnowledge) is out of date. Fact is... to make certain calculations my data does not have to be super accurate or up to data. This post suggests we have some over capacity issues...

Somewhere the figures are plain wrong. Just from the experience of the last 20 yrs, and knowing how big those 300mm wafers are, plus all the other wafer size migrations that have occurred....I'd say we are due for a crunch. Guys like Early say that's only half the story too. We are in semiconductor land mega glut, soon to be arriving near both you and me.

disclaimer: short LRCX and KLAC. No reason, could have chosen any of the semi equips. They have been short and hold for a month or two now.
