Ok, no need to debate, but in my opinion investor trust and confidence in our capital markets is being undermined by this unchecked, ongoing accounting flaw with regard to unreported stock option expense.

Here is a short, well written piece on the subject by Buffet. I found I was able to read this PDF file better after printing it out than I was able to read it on the screen.

"Stock Options and Common Sense" by Warren Buffet

With regard to double counting, I guess what confuses me, among other things, would be the inconsistency in arguing that when stock options are expensed to the IRS there is no double counting going on, but when stock options are expensed on my income report from the company, there is double counting going on. I don't believe there is double counting going on in either case.

Best, Huey
