Investor, being from that part of the world I can vouch that things work very differently in that part of the world. Unfortunately our friends on the SI threads tend to view any situation in a very Ramboistic manner. We all hastened to denounce Saudi Arabia for their telethon to raise funds for the grieving families of the suicide bombers. But the moderate folks there in Saudi surely do have their own way to bring the radical elements into their fold. It does take time. And I am confident that they all will all come around and make peace.

As for the Israelis, I sure do hope that the American Jewish lobby does not encourage the belligerency of Sharon and his men. It is very easy to fall prey to the desire of making tons of money by selling arms to Israel and others by encouraging Israel to maintain a war like posture.

So we all will wait and see what happens in the Middle East especially in light of your last sentence in your post and I quote: <<.............If Israel rejects consistency, is peace their true goal?>> All I would add to that is not just reject but also if they (Israel) come up with conditions which make achieving peace very hard.
