Oh, I agree with you. Lots of blaming going on where people should be taking more responsibility for their actions. But, I also think that this phase is necessary too. I don't really care about any of that now. I care about direction and being positioned in that direction. I think that gold is a pretty, but relatively worthless metal.

And I am looking for a bottom in techs so that I can go long. I don't hate tech inherently, just when it is going down:-)

But the other part of it is that there is, and has been, a tremendous amount of risk in the market that has been ignored since last September. A war in India/pakistan can have direct economic impact on the US. And then throw in the wildcard of Russia and China being next door neighbors who won't appreciate nuclear warheads going off next door and then throw in a bunch of muslim extremists who could find any action in india/pakistan or Israel as a green light to start something somewhere else.

And then the fact that many investors still believe that the type of returns that we saw in the late 90s, is their birthright. And if you don't believe that is still out there, read the analyst views on QCOM and look for the one that has an $82 target.

And of course, as long as there are stocks that people "refuse to sell", we can't be at the bottom.

Of course, this is probably a bull siren song....Jorj calling the bottom with a contrarian post.
