I guess my question would be "why are the institutions buying a market that is going down?". Doesn't seem to make much sense to buy stuff that is going to be cheaper in a couple of months. BTW: I was looking at the yahoo profiles on a few companies, and indeed, it does appear that institutional ownership is increasing. Something like 3.5% for JDSU, 1.5% for CSCO 2.75% for DIS 3.3% for MSFT 2.7% for ORCL 2.5% for INTC These are quarter to quarter numbers. It doesn't make sense to me, but your data seems to be corroborated by a second source.
