Dorine, Bush has squandered the budget surplus. The States do not have any money. At first, I thought
the west only suffered but after talking to others recently, I hear that all States have financial problems. There isn't any money here for education, community services and perhaps mass transit. I'm not sure about the
transit issue though. Kenneth would know.

Now that Bush spent Clinton's budget surplus by giving lavish tax breaks to the
wealthiest one percent or the richest Americans , and by building
a huge war machine that is probably unnecessary
---young men with
box cutters destroyed the World Trade Centers.---- the rest of us will discover that
our standard of living will decline because people all across the country are losing their jobs.
And The States cannot ask the Bush administration for help because Bush spent the surplus. that
Clinton left for the economic future of Americans.

Because of Bush's lavish spending on the wealthy and his fascination with weapons which have
also benefited the Bush family personally because W's father is involved with the arms industry
through his connection with the Carlyle Group, the country is hopelessly in debt.
