I found "this summer" to be a bit sudden, based on my earlier perceptions of the standard's state. I was suprised by that statement. Then again, I've probably been too far out of touch with this space, beyond excusable limts.

Which vendors' wares are being deployed by which service providers (are there any "pre:-standards out there?) at this time, and where? Can you say offhand? Are we about to see a rash of new wireless players emerge on the scene, or will adoption of 802.16 be predominantly by _________?
