Dear Texas Dude: Well, I dont know of course, but I suppose they feel it is blown all out of proportion. There are THOUSANDS of Catholic Priests in America and I have only heard of a dozen or so scandals (perhaps there are more, we just dont know of them?). All I can say is I spent over 2 years in a Catholic Boarding school, noone ever tried to molest me. Only ones that worked me over were the Nuns, they were a tough bunch in my day. The Diocese sent out a letter to all the parishioners in our diocese stating that if any Priest were accused of any predatory matter they would be immediately turning it over to the Police. Dont know what else they can do. JDN
