That is a bogus argument. The RSS controls the largest party that runs the Federal government in India. The Prime Minister, at best, has to ask the RSS for permission even to go to the bathroom. At worst, of course, he is also an RSS fanatic. Moreover, the RSS and its sister outfits get away with the pogroms that they periodically conduct at various places in India -- Bombay in 1992 and Gujarat in 2002 being the major ones, with a lot of smaller ones going all along. Why would anybody think that the RSS is "irrelevant", especially in the light of all this?
