While the advances in education, medical care and athletics are indeed remarkable, particularly when compared to other Latin nations, (and even the US), it has come at a great price in other areas and under the boot of a tyrant no better or worse than Somoza, and others like them. Being an island Castro was able to get away with it... The most important thing is... What now? What is Cuba going to do with what they have... We all know that Communism does not work... the future is what counts and Cuba should open up... and yes, the US should have a more open mind attitude towards achieving a larger dialogue and complete the change that has already started
