An election is not an IQ test. We are not electing simply intellect. Words like "judgement" and "moral character" come to mind. According to a recent article, Clinton was the smartest recent President. Well, gee, maybe he wasn't too bad. If ignore scandal after scandal culminating in impeachment. How likely do you think it is that Bush will be impeached? Or have even one sexual scandal during his tenure? Carter is supposed to have been quite bright. Yet in the Iran mess, he committed blunder after blunder. Kennedy is also supposed to have been quite bright. And yet he ordered the unpardonable stupidity of cancelling the air cover for the Cuban invasion. The answer to that would be obvious to a first-year cadet at any of the military academies: either you provide air cover or you cancel the invasion. He also helped significantly in digging the hole called Vietnam. Nixon..... Need more be said?
