Thanks, that's all I came up with too. The Microsoft Knowledge base and 1/2 a dozen other search engines all turned up nothing. However I did not think of searching my hard drive to see where the file was and for any other hints until you mentioned searching your hard drives. It turns out websNT.exe is a file that my backup power supply uses, of all the stupid sh*t. My backup power supply is branded Compaq but made by APC. I hate Compaq but when I bought it a couple of years ago I got a great deal on it. There's been no updated drivers since WinNT. The original drivers worked fine with W2K Pro but never tried to access the internet. I stumbled into the install CD a few weeks ago when I was looking for something else. I had just done a DI backup so I figured I'd give the software I try with XP. The backup power supply did work without the software but without a shutdown time set I might have had a problem if the power supply died with the PC running. XP accepted the old software and I was able to set the shut down timing.

Thanks for the help! SIfkaJB
