You are correct that we have no indication that there is any fraud involved. I agree also that to ask the question is really not fair to the management of Barrick. They have not done anything to warrant the question. Even if the question is not that unusual in this climate of day by day disclosures of accounting modifications.
The need for transparency doesn't mean there is any thing other then they have stated, but it does suggest that additional disclosure would be helpful as so many other situations have proved to be other than they appeared.
