Ed, Here is some very good news for AZN and its new cholesterol-lowering drug Crestor. I think the FDA is only approving up to 40mg dosage and not full 80mg to start. If my guess is right it is still going to help AZN a lot. It helps lower cholesterol better than any other product on the market today. (Here is part of what a news article stated this morning. (June 5, 2002) Still, some analysts were disappointed the firm did not publish details of the so-called "approvable letter" from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Such letters are issued when drugs are close to being cleared by regulators but where questions still remain.
