Yeah -- essence of my original post.

This is an issue that isn't amenable to public investigation when the media will only present sound bites of what this expert or that expert said.

Science in many ways is a new religion -- folks are given the idea that they can't understand the methods used by the scientists -- that turns out to be flat wrong on this issue. Anybody who is interested can understand their techniques and arguments and reasonably question the validity of the assumptions without a PhD in atmospheric science.

If one reasonably looks at the evidence at finds it compelling -- I may differ with them, but won't call them foolish, but someone who listens to a few soundbites here or there and decides there is unanimity in the scientific community -- they are swallowing a lie and ought to know better than to just take the media's word for anything.

Bush has lived up to the expectations of those who called him not so bright. I don't have an issue with a president not being intelligent -- I don't think you have to be a rocket scientist -- but you must surround yourself with people who will be consistent with your overall philosophies and at the same time provide you unbiased opinions.

I know you didn't like Ronnie, but he had some people around him -- who managed him and his appearances very well. Bush's folks look like complete amateurs.
