This happens all the time with respect to mispronunciation. If you are asked a question wherein a word is mispronounced ... and you have to use the word in your answer ... do you mispronounce it?

Teachers face this all the time, and it even happens between friends or spouses.

For example: forte. It is fort, not for-tay.

My answer is: You pronounce it correctly, without comment.
