Tip, As you say, a President should not be a micro-manager and should delegate to those with more narrow fields of expertise than "running the most powerful country in the world." But the buck always stops with him. Carter tried micro-managing and he was awful at it. Clinton only micro-managed his personal life. <g>

I didn't like Ronnie's policies, most of the time. I loved his sense of humor. And he did have some good people, as did Nixon. Some were too good, ala Ollie North and Haldemann.

Bush also has some good folks, but it seems like he isn't comfortable with the competent ones. And this is definitely another "stonewalling" administration full of Trilateral hacks. This poor schlub at FBI and the other schlub at CIA get caught trying to do a little sidestep on every substantial question. You can almost feel the glee in the media that they have these guys on the hook.

War popularity only lasts for a short period of time. If Bush wants an example, he should ask his Dad or LBJ, though, for the latter, he would have to call Miss Cleo's 900 number. <g>
