Comparing him to Clinton is like comparing the family's pet dog to a skunk. Just because the pet dog is better to have around than the skunk doesn't mean he's the best dog for your family.

That made me laugh (the appreciative kind of laugh.) It's like if you said, "Our new watchdog keeps peeing on the carpet and can't seem to learn anything, I'm not sure he's much of a watchdog," and the response was always, said as though it were responsive, "We once got sprayed by a skunk."
