What kind of details you want?:-)

Mainly interested in what happens on the air-interface and the "front-line" synchronizations of the MS receiver .. mainly as it impacts EOTD.

For example:
(a) Does the scanning decrease the performance on the voice call frequency .. due to continuously changing frequencies?
(b) How many alternate frequencies are scanned per (8/16 slot) frame? The "5-second" measurement interval implies 1 freq.
(c) How many time slots used for scanning per frame?
(d) Is the list of alternates continuously updated by the BTS as frequencies become busy/free?
(e) Must scanning occur for GPRS/EDGE too? There might not be many time slots free.
(f) The questions I forgot. :-))
