Hardly. Spread trading using the thin, far out futures contracts as the "long leg" is a strategy as old as the hills. And each of those contracts are delta hedged in the unregulated over the counter market in NY and London.

It means nothing except that you are observing pro's at work.

I believe I was the one that stated, and correctly, that the bubble gum zone between $320 and $335 was very nearly impentrable, except for enthusiastic short covering bouts that might reach $345.

Damn, I'm good.
