Borb,
Japan seems to be way stronger technically than the US. When the NAZ tanks, Japan holds ground and when the US market rises the Nikkei shoots up even more..

Today my personal favourite New Japan Radio (NJR) - 6911.J is making new high ground. It broke out ANOTHER TIME and started trading at 860 Yen, gapping up above the old high of 840 Yen from weeks ago on very high volume of 70k on the OPENING ! This is pretty significant. I posted recently that next year's EPS guidance was raised from 25 Yen to 53 Yen and even that appears conservative. What I like more is the Satcom orientation of the company. Surely they also will have products for the booming WLAN segment (25% growth quarter to quarter in the US !) because it appears to be in the same frequency area...

Asahi Kasei (3407.J) and Shimadzu are also inching up. Shimadzu now is forecasting a remarkable turnaround for the current fiscal year and positive EPS of 4 Yen by next March.. Now Shimadzu has huge biotech equipment, avionics & defence and semiconductor equipment exposure. If Shibaura Mechatronics (6590.J) great performance (which I called but couldn't capitalize on - because of limited funds) is any guide then Shimadzu should have positive boost factors in all its operating divisions. The 4 Yen EPS is pretty low IMHO, 10 Yen look possible but that's a premature guesstimate of mine..

I'm looking at more semi related companies to buy. Especially with regard to Power Semis..
