It is great!

The opening round has been characterised by teams full of 25-50K GBP/week players being shown wanting against players who likely cost a tenth of that.
Beckham has just signed up for 100,000 GBP/week. Nice work if you can get it!

I am not saying the best players do not deserve it but I think that with the demise of Krupp and ITV-Digital pay-per-view channels, the whole business model of financing clubs and players needs to be looked at.
The cake has got smaller over the past 12 mths. Murdoch/Berlusconi are now in command, and even Mr Greenspan would have to admit that players' wages were beginning to resemble a bubble (unlike the stock and housing markets).
The best excuse is Real Madrid, which is bankrupt, but gets the taxpayers via the city of madrid to build them a stadium for their exclusive use, while having both Zidane and Figo in the team. Bubbles always go further than you imagine. So expect a new wave of purchases after this World Cup, that would make last time seem sensible.

I would recommend a cocktail of caffeine (to keep you awake) sleepeze (to put you to sleep) and melatonin(to reset your body clock).

The quality, as you have pointed out, has been outstanding!

Go Go Go the SuperEagles!
