But that and related questions are exactly what is under dispute. If there were not Kyoto Treaty or equivalent, there would be no political dispute.

I just said that I wasn't advocating the Kyoto treaty. If you're interested enough to do the research, you will find that I have never advocated the Kyoto treaty. If fact, I'm on record for expressing my disappointment that the Bush Pere administration set us on the path to it. Yet you felt you had to throw me four paragraphs about the faults of the Kyoto Treaty. Why is that?

The Kyoto treaty may have triggered the dispute, but the problem is the political polarization, which is so bad that we can't even have a discussion of the subject without running amok. The Kyoto Treaty isn't a problem because we're not signing it. The fact that we can't discuss the matter of global climate change in a sensible way is the problem. IMO.
