There was an article in IBD this morning addressing the failure of Wingcast. An analyst was quoted as saying that Onstar would also likely close down. An Onstar official, of course, denied that would be its fate. Also mentioned was Onstar's small advantage in being the first in that space.

Overall the premise to the article was that there is no real interest in the service. People don't want yet another bill to contend with. etc. Interesting dichotomy however, is that when people are polled they say they would buy the service, however, when presented with the opportunity there doesn't seem to be that much traction.
