Can anyone give me an update of Verity's status with developing a Java version of its search software. As best I can see, they currently have a Java developers toolkit which was written by a third party for use by both Verity and Fulcrum. Right now the only Java search engine appears to be from Innotech Multimedia, a VSE company listed as ITM, and in the Canadian Stock Group part of SI. ITM recently received the 100% Java certification from Sun and has signed a number of licensing and co marketing deals. I have not seen Fulcrum announce any development of a Java engine, nor have I seen Dataware announce plans. The ITM chat line has some articles suggesting that Corel, Hummingbird and possibly Jetform will soon announce ITM licensing arrangements. Verity of course has a much longer history and larger installed base of customers with its existing search engines. Any thoughts by others would be appreciated.
