Any interest in the security sector? The sector has been hit hard with concerns about IT spending.... however some of these co's are beginning to confirm guidance .......
SYMC just confirmed they're "extremely comfortable", and CHKP confirmed earlier this week.
IMO, fundamentals in several of these companies are quite strong.
You'd think that co's with any IT $ available at all would give priority to security.

When did SYMC confirm guidance? I can't find any comment about being "extremely comfortable".
I think it is the most interesting sector (don't hold any of these names yet). There was some story earlier that NET was doing was deal with MSFT. Don't know how much impact that could have on SYMC.

In this environment, this has to be considered a good sector, imho. Keeping an eye on it for a buying opportunity near term (might start today if I see those symc comment...considering CHKP/NET/SYMC).
