CYTC went on sale this morning for all the wrong reasons imo. Its starting to recover now. CYTC dropped from mid-twenties to mid teens on news that it wanted to acquire Digene. Now that Digene's ace in the hole (licensing agreement from Pasteur Institute) has been flipped over to a potential competitor 15 to 18 mos from now, it would seem CYTC, the acquirer who was punished for buying Digene, should NOT have sold off this sharply if at all after Digene did. In addition, good news was released this a.m. that should favorably impact CYTC's sale of ThinPrep, its proprietary lead product that is rapidly becoming THE standard of care for women replacing the conventional pap smear test.
We could see a rapid return from south of 12 to 15 or more on this one. I bought, ia anyone else following CYTC?
