I upgraded in 2001 and gave away my Compaq 1991 Presario. The new box has an AMD 900Mhz Athlon in it. Got about every bell and whistle on it too. I might put an extra HD with Microsoft XP "at home" on it. Win 2k "Professional" is crap in many respects.

I expect I will be finding 2 gig Athlons in the dumpsters soon. We will be up to the ankles in DRAM this year I expect.

AMD are going gangbusters against Inhell. Bought a few calls on them too. I expect any boost to the market to be temporary in nature though.
