Tenchusatsu, RE: So because Osha has a "lack of visibility" into the PC market, Intel deserves a downgrade.

By the way, I'm lowering America's chances of winning the World Cup because I have a "lack of visibility" into how good the players are. ;-)

There are many good reasons to criticize Osha.

I don't think this is one of them.

A lack of visibility means that there is a greater degree of uncertainty regarding earnings for the rest of the year. Greater uncertainty means that you need a lower stock price, since the earnings need to be discounted at a greater rate to take into account this uncertainty.

Lack of visibility, when this wasn't perceived before, is a perfectly good reason to downgrade a stock.

And after the USA's win against Portugal, I would think that visibility is better looking forward. Brian McBribe performed much better than expected against a heretofore great defense.
