I'm watching the most interesting movie on TV. Well, maybe interesting isn't the right word for the movie. It took me by surprise. The name of the movie is The Climb. This is what the TV schedule said about it.
<<The Climb CATEGORY: Drama SYNOPSIS: A greedy tycoon sponsors a hotshot and a cautious widower to scale a perilous mountain in the Andes.>>
Well, that looked like my sort of movie so I tuned in. Couple of hunks climbing mountains. Cool.
Well, imagine my surprise when one hunk started proselytizing the other hunk!
So I checked on the net for a movie review and found this on IMDB.
<<How many mountains can a man climb in one lifetime? How many mountains can one climb in one movie? Racial bias, pride, loss, hurt, pregnancy, corporate success, painful past, family dysfunction, unreached dreams... after watching this gospel presentation you'll understand how God can use each problem we face in life as a part of the climb home. Next time, take the high road.>>
Just then they interrupted the movie for the President's speech and the station ran a message across the screen that "this special presentation by Billy Graham" would continue after the speech.
Talk about plain brown wrappers! Boy did I step in it. I feel like I've been ambushed. They should have had some kind of warning label or something. I'm giving some thought to a complaint to the station. (This is the same ABC affiliate that took Politically Correct off it's schedule and left it off.) LOL! |
