>> Freedom AND free trade, are as American as Apple Pie, << hah! free trade has really only been pursued in america in earnest since the late sixties, although socialist utopians like wilson and fdr tried to kickstart the free trade movement much earlier. the world wars kinda interrupted their utopian one-world plans. what a hoot! i guess good old george washington is not as american as apple pie anymore, he and hamilton were the chief architects of our american tariff system to end our dependence on the mother country.
