I suspect that Nadine and I do not fit together comfortably into any political category. :-)

My political leanings are quite libertarian and I have no problem with citizens advocating their positions to the government. Notwithstanding my leanings, I still assert that the scientific consensus you infer is mythological. There are thoughtful scientific participants on both sides of the debate. There are also active lobbying groups on both sides packaging the scientific data to suit their positions. C'est la vie.
