A Poem for Voltaire:

Where is Voltaire?
And then he aluded.
However my pants are still on fire.
My contributions....wan and jaded.

Does he have gold?
Lest the readers go insane.
Things fall apart the center cannot hold.
Children stomping, playing games.

Where is Voltaire?
Oh Tam! Hads't thou but been so wise.
He may not have hair, but he's still got air,
And can lap at the toes of the mighty and wise.

Where are his minions?
Just sniff the air and then smile,
And nothing is won.
Glistening as the date, shrivelled as an empty reptile.

Where is Voltaire?
And out comes the Gas of Woe from behind my hips.
But that's only fair.
I press the sacred Cheeze of Feta on my precious lips.

Where is Voltaire?
