i think his point is that in his opinion we are not in the hell in a hand basket stage of a super bear market like 1973 - 1974

of course we aren't, and anyone who has been following the market in any depth has been able to realize the stealth bull underlying the overweighted big cap weighted index charade.

my point is that guy showed a chart from 69-74'75. That's a 5-6 year period that suffered a triple dip recession. Even if his charts were comparable,we're only in the early stages of longterm recesssion. The UCLA Anderson forecast says as much...

if i'm not mistaken current public and private debt loads are currently at historic ALL TIME high proportions

bear market rallies notwithstanding, his current chart showed showed me only how excessive the underlying mania in stocks still is. I'm on the hunt for longs, but i don't believe for a minute "long term" bull market arguments for longer than 6-12 mo periods ...AT BEST
