I can only assume that my last two posts will be ignored by the market today. It will be too busy looking BACKWARDS, at weakness in Europe which contributed to low numbers for INTC's current Q which ENDS IN 3 WEEKS.

Unemployment Rate Falls Unexpectedly

Jun 7 8:35am ET

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. unemployment rate fell unexpectedly in May to 5.8 percent, the government said on Friday in a sign the downtrodden labor market may be starting to catch up with the recovery in the broader economy.

The two-tenths of a percentage point drop in the jobless rate -- which defied expectations the rate would edge higher -- came even as payroll employment data showed that businesses remained wary of hiring aggressively.

The Labor Department said the number of workers on U.S. payrolls outside the farm sector grew by 41,000, the biggest gain in 15 months but still smaller than the 58,000 increase forecast by private economists.
