YAWWWN......On another subject, isnt anyone else excited about our consoladation of Agencies for Homeland defense, this new entity will have an annual budget of + 37 billion, which means all those lovely small, mid and large cap defense contractors will be getting NEW revenue for new applications, high tech sensors, video and satellite applications should be particularly strong. IMO we'll begin to see some serious M&A activity from the defense majors to the small /mid cap sector where there has been considerable accumulation since January.

Oh this spending on HLD is not inside the Defense budget. There has been tremendous innovation going on in the small & mid sized companies, the biggies will avail themselves of these gems once Rumsfeld delivers the DOD Value message. Perhaps the biggest opportunity in a decade. The Primes will carry the day as Systems integrators but it's the Small and mid sized subs who will be constructing for delivery....the goods.Smart munitions and new uses for in place systems will be very attractive areas.

A good plan would be to undertake some fundamental research then break your opportunity into groups, the groups in order of priority should be:
1 Defense....all sizes
2. DVD because it's unstoppable now, DVD writeable is biggest consumer application looming across the economy. In a couple of years these systems will produce more content than the Movie industry since it's inception!
3. Wireless with emphasis on 802.1b standards / Satellite related infrastructure and components.
4. Biotek, Lows will be in next week,

Nothing beats a good plan.

It's obvious now, smart money wont be carrying a Bag for last decades news.
