Telecomguy, OT:

Actually, when Europe deregulated, they must have learned from US experience. We had over 100 Carriers JUMP into the Italy market alone in a space of 1 year in 1999.

Whoosh! Welcome to the world of capitalism, eh? Things have certainly.....uh.....speeded up since the days I was there. That is....circa 1992 or so. In those days I was part of a group (MFS Intelenet) who were busy "wiring up" the major cities of Europe. You know...fiber rings, etc.. A great experience from which a lot of valuable associations sprung. But this is a tangential aside.

How about the way WCOM is performing today!? I'm kind'a positive on it, because it started its surge before the markets started their comeback. Hmmmmm.....I wonder if it means anything? Probably this, at the least.....one could be forgiven for thinking that all weak hands have been shaken loose on the slide from ~$1.80 to ~$1.30, and this surge now represents some real solid holdings.....

The next 6 weeks should be veeery interesting.

John~
