Zeev,

Any advice for a part-time trader dabbling on the dark side?

I shorted several of the Q on 5/15, not sure whether to hold them to the bottom (6/28?) or try to trade the bounces.

On 5/23, I locked in some ~10% profits including VTSS from 6.50 to 5.84. Now it is at 4.25.

I even settled for only ~5% on AMAT and it sky-dived the next day.

Neither one gave me a re-entry, and I re-shorted a couple others at higher than I closed them.

This morning, I watched the open, knowing it would be bad. I decided not to "overtrade" and instead hold the shorts until I see the eye whites. I could have taken good profits in the morning and then reshorted when they ALL closed the gaps (or close).

Did I play this really stupid or was I just wrong this time?

Should I close the shorts next Wednesday, or let them ride until 6/28?

Your input would be of great help.

Thanks so much!

Not trying to be a pig. Just trying to trade smart!

TIA - Ken
